Our telenovela
Héctor was born in Panama and spent 12 years in cultural diplomacy, promoting his country through art, music and identity. His journey took him through Argentina and Israel, and in Israel he met Claudia, a Romanian fashion model. They paused their careers to get to know their countries and their roots better. They came to Oradea for the birth of Mariana, their first daughter, and chose the city so Claudia would have sarmale within reach. Then the pandemic caught them, they stayed, and Emma was born here. They missed the Latin American bodegones, the cafés with salsa, cumbia and reggae, with pregones, ancestral snacks, the good coffee from back home and the flavors of the raspaderos selling juices and frosties in the hot streets. That is how Panamericano was born, in 2024: a place where every drink on the menu comes from somewhere, and someone here has been there. Welcome to our family. Welcome to our telenovela.
